Loving Our Neighbor. Loving Our City. Loving the Sport.
Neighborhood Network is a monthly sports outreach for 7th–12th grade students in Oklahoma City — a place where students come to play, to be known, and to be part of something consistent.
The Beginning
A Vision Formed Over Time.
Five years ago, God placed a dream in our hearts: reach students in Oklahoma City through sport and consistent presence.
Over the next four years, He refined it. He connected us with ministries in places like Harlem who had built something real through years of showing up. At the same time, He was pulling together the right people here at New Song.
In January 2025, Neighborhood Network launched its first 3v3 basketball tournament. From that first day, it was clear: students were showing up, and they were coming back.
New Song Church
A Church Called to Be a Living Letter.
We believe we are Christ's letter to the world, meant to be read, not just in what we say, but in how we live. (2 Corinthians 3:2–3)
New Song Church is a local church in Oklahoma City committed to serving people and building lasting relationships across our community. Over the past several years, this has taken shape through a growing culture of outreach.
Serve Saturday is our monthly, church-wide outreach. Since 2021, teams have gone into the city each month to meet practical needs, build relationships, and show up consistently. Neighborhood Network grew out of that same commitment.
This is who we are. A church that shows up. A church that stays. A church that builds relationships over time.
Neighborhood Network is an overflow of that — a continuation of how we live. Hosted by New Song, it carries the same commitment: to be present, to build trust, and to invest in the lives of students across our city.
Year One
What We Saw in 2025.
Along the way, moments stood out.
A fall break tournament where students showed up ready to play and stayed to connect. A Christmas shoe giveaway where over 40 students received a new pair of shoes, fully funded by New Song Church.
These moments represent students being seen, relationships taking root, and something growing in our city.
Story
He Just Came to Play.
He did not come for anything spiritual. He came to play.
A friend told him about a tournament, so he showed up. At first, he kept his distance. He played and left.
But he came back. And then again.
Over time, something shifted. Someone learned his name. Someone asked about his life and meant it. He stayed a little longer. He started talking more.
Not in a service. Not on a stage. But on the edge of a court.
He came to play. But what he found was a place to belong.
